Home Health Care
Medical excellence, delivered to your door.
What We Provide
What to Expect During a Visit
A typical home health visit lasts 45 to 60 minutes. Your nurse will check your vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, oxygen levels), assess your current condition, administer any needed treatments like wound care or injections, review your medications, and update your care plan. Visits are usually scheduled 1 to 3 times per week depending on your physician's orders, and your nurse is available by phone between visits for questions or concerns.
Eligibility & Insurance Coverage
Home health care is typically covered by Medicare Part A for patients who are homebound and require intermittent skilled nursing care ordered by a physician. Missouri Medicaid also covers home health services for eligible beneficiaries. Most private insurance plans include home health benefits. Our team handles the insurance verification process for you at no cost — just call us and we will confirm your coverage before services begin.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a doctor's referral for home health care?
Yes. Home health care requires a physician's order. However, we can help coordinate with your doctor to obtain the necessary referral. Many of our patients are referred directly from hospitals and rehabilitation facilities after discharge.
How long will I need home health care?
The duration depends on your medical needs. Some patients need only a few weeks of post-surgery care, while others with chronic conditions may receive services for several months. Your care plan is reviewed regularly with your physician to ensure you receive the right level of care.
Will the same nurse visit me each time?
We do our best to assign a consistent nurse to each patient. Continuity of care is important to us because your nurse builds a relationship with you and understands your unique health needs.
