Personal Care
Dignity in every detail of daily life.
What We Provide
What to Expect During a Visit
A personal care visit typically lasts 1 to 4 hours depending on your needs. Your aide will arrive at the scheduled time and assist with your morning or evening routine: bathing or showering, help choosing and putting on clothes, brushing teeth and hair, applying lotions or medications, and safe transfers between bed, chair, and bathroom. Your aide follows your preferences and routine — we adjust to your lifestyle, not the other way around.
Eligibility & Insurance Coverage
Personal care services may be covered by Missouri Medicaid, certain Medicare Advantage plans, and private long-term care insurance. Eligibility typically requires an assessment showing that you need assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, or mobility. Our care coordinators can review your insurance benefits and help determine your coverage at no charge.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will my aide be the same person every visit?
Yes, we prioritize consistency. You will be matched with a regular aide who learns your preferences and routine. If your regular aide is unavailable, we send a trained backup who has been briefed on your care plan.
Can personal care aides help with medications?
Personal care aides can provide medication reminders and help you access your pills, but they cannot administer medications or make dosage decisions. If you need medication management, our skilled nursing (home health care) service can provide an RN for that purpose.
Is personal care available on weekends?
Yes. We offer flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Your care plan is built around your needs, not our convenience.
